The NAIDOC March here in Naarm has always been more than just a protest. It is a celebration of culture, a defiant statement of survival, a family reunion, a breathing art gallery, a modern day Ngargee, an honouring of Elders, a refusal to be silenced and one more chapter in our collective story.

The 2026 March was a bold exclamation point on a spectacular NAIDOC week and Ngwala staff turned out in force to celebrate 50 Years of Deadly. It was beautiful to see the snake of our NAIDOC 2026 hoodies slithering throughout the massive crowd as the March made it’s slow steady way from the Victrorian Aboriginal Health Service, down to Parliament and ending with a huge celebration at Fed Square.

Thanks to all the staff who attended and a big shout out to the PIR Team manning the Coffee Van who were working overtime keping the thousands caffeinated at Fed Square!
